Douglas Ferrans was appointed to the Board on 14 June 2006 and became Chairman in April 2009. He started his career at Scottish Amicable in 1977 gaining experience in many different business areas before becoming Chief Executive of Scottish Amicable Investment Managers Limited in 1995. He was Marketing Director at Britannic Asset Management Limited from October 1997 to May 2001. In June 2001 Douglas became the Chief Executive of Insight Investment and later became Chairman before his departure in December 2008. Douglas is a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries.

Olivia Dickson was at JP Morgan from 1987 to 1998, undertaking a number of roles including Head of Private Client Brokerage, European Infrastructure Programme Manager and Head of European Derivatives Brokerage. More recently, she has been a senior adviser to the Financial Services Authority. She currently is a member of the Determinations Panel of the Pensions Regulator and the FSA’s Regulatory Decisions Committee. Olivia was appointed to the Board on 14 June 2006.

Douglas Gardner was previously at Tarmac plc, carrying out the role of Chief Executive of the Property Division until 1983. He then moved to Brixton Estate plc serving as Managing Director until 1993 when he became Chairman and Chief Executive. Since retiring from Brixton in 2000 Douglas has focused almost exclusively on the real estate fund management industry and holds a number of Non-Executive Directorships, including Mount Street Capital Ltd and Hirco plc. Douglas is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He was appointed to the Board on 1 January 2010.

Steve Colsell joined HBOS in August 2006 as Finance Director of the Insurance and Investment Division and in January 2009 he became the Finance and Strategy Director, Wealth and International Division for Lloyds Banking Group. He started his career at Allied Dunbar in 1985 working in various actuarial roles before becoming Head of Treasury for Zurich Financial Services in 1998. He later held a number of senior finance positions for Zurich before joining Kensington Group Plc as Finance Director in 2004. Steve is a Member of the Advisory Board for tPoint Solutions and is the Lloyds Banking Group nominated member of the Esure and St. James’s Place Boards. Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He was appointed to the Board on 1 April 2009.

Duncan Owen is the CEO of Invista, overseeing the implementation of business strategy and day to day management of the business. Previously, he was a main Board Director of Insight Investment and co-founder of the specialist property boutique Gatehouse Investment Management. He was previously a Partner at Jones Lang Wootton and a Director at LaSalle Investment Management. Duncan studied at Insead Business School after his degree, and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Duncan was appointed to the Board on 20 April 2006.

Philip Gadsden was appointed Deputy CEO in May 2007, responsible with the CEO for the implementation of the Company’s business strategy. He joined Invista in October 2003 as Head of External Funds. Prior to that, he co-founded the specialist property boutique Gatehouse Investment Management, having previously been a Director of LaSalle Investment Management. He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Investment Property Forum. Philip was appointed to the Board on 20 April 2006 in his previous role as Chief Financial and Operating Officer.

Guy Eastaugh joined Invista in May 2007 as Finance Director. A Chartered Accountant, Guy began his career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, qualifying in 1987. Guy subsequently spent six years in investment banking before moving into industry in 1995. He worked at Enron Europe Limited before joining Hanson plc as Head of Corporate Development in 1999. Prior to joining Invista, Guy was Head of Corporate Finance and Corporate Director – Strategy at GKN plc, a company he had been with since 2003. Guy was appointed to the Board on 1 May 2007.
